Hello

I can't tell you how ridiculous this feels! It's a bit like writing a diary and letting the whole world read it. I can only hope that mummy-brain doesn't strike too often! I suppose the best place to start is to tell you who I am and how I got here...

When I became a mummy just over four years ago, it was simultaneously the happiest, cuddliest, strangest and funniest thing I had ever experienced. Jack was born in 2006, followed by Phoebe in 2007 and Maisie in 2010. Obviously, having three babies so close together creates a fair amount of chaos. You'd be crazy to expect otherwise! As a coping mechanism, I began using little tidbits of my days at home with the kidlets for my Facebook status updates. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE being at home with my babies. If I had the choice, I would never go back to work. But everybody has those moments when motherhood gets extraordinarily messy, and if you can get a giggle out of those horrendous, vomit-soaked, poo-encrusted, dribbled-upon days, then more power to you!

I am definitely challenged in the IT department, so this may not be the prettiest blog spot for a while. But I am excited about sharing some funny stories with whoever cares to read them, if only to vent on days when the Napisan just won't get the stains out. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do!

The perfect beginning for your blog. And I love the comment about motherhood being one of the 'cuddliest' things that's happened to you.

Visiting from the Rewind.

It really does feel like you are shouting into the wind at first, doesn't it? A nice first post though!

I'm a relatively new blogger and I too was a little nervous at first but it's a little addictive isn't it? Great first post. x
